1.  Update: 60-Day Visa-Free Entry

Since mid-February 2026, Indian passport holders no longer need to queue for a "Visa on Arrival" for short trips.

  • Stay Duration: 60 Days (can be extended by another 30 days at a local immigration office).

  • Cost: ?0 (Free).

  • Purpose: Tourism, short-term business, and leisure.

2. Mandatory Document: The TDAC

Even though the visa is free, you must complete the Thailand Digital Arrival Card (TDAC) before you fly. This has completely replaced the old paper TM6 arrival cards.

  • Timeline: Must be filled online within 72 hours (3 days) before your arrival.

  • Output: You will receive a QR Code on your phone which you must show at the immigration counter.

3. Document Checklist for Entry

  • Passport: Original, with at least 6 months validity from the date of entry.

  • TDAC QR Code: Digital or printed copy.

  • Return Flight: A confirmed return or onward ticket to any country within 60 days.

  • Accommodation Proof: Hotel booking or stay details for at least the first few nights.

  • Proof of Funds: You may be asked to show proof of 10,000 THB (approx. 23,000) per person or 20,000 THB (approx. 46,000) per family. Cash is preferred but credit card statements/apps are sometimes accepted.

4. What about the "e-VOA"?

If you prefer to have a pre-approved digital visa to skip the standard immigration line, you can still apply for the e-VOA via VFS Global.

Travel Tip for Guest

Avoid "Screenshots" for your TDAC. Carry the actual PDF or a printed copy, as Thai immigration officers in 2026 are strict about verifying the QR code through their scanners.
