Please find below the checklist for the India E-Visa application process. 

1. Indian e-Tourist Visa:

• Scanned bio page of the passport showing the photograph and details.
• For short-term courses: A letter from the relevant institute, organization, or hospital on its letterhead (if applicable).
• For voluntary work of short duration: A letter from the relevant organization on its letterhead (if applicable).

2. Indian e-Business Visa:

• Scanned bio page of the passport showing the photograph and details.
• Business cards copy.
• Invitation letter from the Indian organization or party for business activities.
• Copy of the inviter's Indian passport and PAN card (the person who signs the invitation letter).

3. Photograph Specifications for Indian e-Visa:

• Format: JPEG
• Size: Minimum 10 KB, Maximum 1 MB
• Dimensions: The height and width of the photo must be equal.
• Requirements: Full face, front view with eyes open and no spectacles. Centre head within the frame, with full head visible from the top of hair to the bottom of the chin.
• Background: Plain light-coloured or white, with no shadows on the face or background and without borders.

Important Notes

• E-Business Visa Duration: Granted for one year with multiple entries and a stay duration of up to 90 days per visit.
• e-Tourist Visa Duration:
• For a 30-day visa, the stay duration is 30 days.
• For a 1-year visa, the stay duration is up to 90 days per visit.

Visa Fees

• Standard Fee (Business, Medical, Medical Attendant and Conference Visa): INR 8980/- (for most countries)
• Special Fee Business, Medical, Medical Attendant and Conference Visa): INR 10,780/- (for UK, USA, Russia, Ukraine, Jersey, and Gibraltar).

Visa Processing Time: Standard processing time: 3-4 working days

India e-Visa Eligibility

• International travellers should have a return or onward journey ticket and sufficient funds for their stay in India.

• International travellers whose sole objective for visiting India is recreation, sightseeing, casual visit to meet friends and relatives, attending a short term yoga programme, Short term courses on local languages, music, dance, arts & crafts, cooking, medicine etc. which should not be a formal or structured course/programme (courses not exceeding 6 months duration and not issued with a qualifying certificate/ diploma etc.),Voluntary work of short duration (for a maximum period of one month, which do not involve any monetary payment or consideration of any kind in return), medical treatment including treatment under Indian systems of medicine, business purpose, as attendant to e-Medical visa holder, attending a conference/ seminar/ workshop organized by a Ministry or Department of the Government of India, State Governments or UT Administrations etc. & their subordinate/ attached organizations & PSUs and private conferences organized by private persons/companies/organizations.
• Applicant's passport should have at least six months validity at the time of making application for grant of e-Visa.
• Above cost include local service Charges along with local GST.
