Package Overview

Baku and Gabala are two of Azerbaijan’s most popular destinations, each offering a distinct experience. Baku, the country’s vibrant capital on the Caspian Sea, blends modernity with deep history. Its skyline is marked by the iconic Flame Towers, while the UNESCO-listed Old City (Icherisheher) showcases narrow alleys, ancient mosques, and the famous Maiden Tower. Baku’s seaside boulevard, the long and lively Baku Boulevard, adds a coastal charm with parks, cafés, and cultural venues. In contrast, Gabala is a peaceful mountain resort town surrounded by lush forests and the Greater Caucasus Mountains. Known for its natural beauty, Gabala offers scenic lakes, waterfalls, and outdoor activities such as hiking, cable-car rides at Tufandag Mountain Resort, and visits to the tranquil Nohur Lake. Together, Baku and Gabala provide travelers with a balanced experience of urban culture and serene nature.

• Discover the UNESCO-listed Old City and stroll through the lively Nizami Street.

After breakfast, begin your exploration of Baku with a visit to the enchanting Old City (Icherisheher), a UNESCO World Heritage Site that showcases the city's rich medieval heritage. Wander through its narrow-cobbled lanes lined with ancient stone buildings, charming courtyards, historic mosques and traditional caravanserais. This beautifully preserved walled city offers a glimpse into Azerbaijan's fascinating past while standing in contrast to the modern skyline surrounding it. Continue to the famous Nizami Street, one of Baku's most vibrant pedestrian boulevards. Named after the celebrated poet Nizami Ganjavi, this elegant avenue is lined with luxury boutiques, international brands, cafés, restaurants and beautifully restored European-style architecture. Later, visit the spectacular Heydar Aliyev Centre, one of the world's most celebrated examples of contemporary architecture designed by the renowned architect Zaha Hadid. Its flowing curves and futuristic design have made it one of Baku's most recognised landmarks. Pause here for memorable photographs against this architectural masterpiece.

Day 3 DAY 3: ABSHERON PENINSULA – LAND OF ETERNAL FLAMES
• Explore Azerbaijan's fascinating fire heritage at Ateshgah Fire Temple and Yanar Dag.
• Enjoy an evening stroll along the beautiful Caspian Sea Boulevard.
Following breakfast, set out to discover the unique natural wonders of the Absheron Peninsula, famously known as the Land of Fire. Your first stop is the historic Ateshgah Fire Temple, an ancient place of worship built over natural gas vents that kept an eternal flame burning for centuries. Revered by Zoroastrians and Hindu traders, this remarkable monument reflects Azerbaijan's deep cultural and spiritual heritage.
Continue to the famous Yanar Dag (Burning Mountain), one of Azerbaijan's most extraordinary natural phenomena. Here, natural gas continuously escapes through the hillside, creating flames that have burned uninterrupted for decades. The sight of fire emerging naturally from the earth is truly unforgettable and perfectly explains why Azerbaijan is called the "Land of Fire."
Later, return to central Baku for a leisurely walking tour of Baku Boulevard, the city's picturesque promenade stretching along the Caspian Sea. Admire the landscaped gardens, modern sculptures, charming cafés and lively atmosphere as you walk beside the waterfront. You will also pass attractions such as Little Venice and enjoy spectacular evening views of Baku illuminated against the night sky.
