Package Overview
This 6-night, 7-day Spiti Valley adventure kicks off in the bustling town of Manali, allowing two nights to acclimatize, explore local culture, and prepare for the rugged journey ahead. From there, you will cross high-altitude mountain passes to spend two nights in Kaza, the commercial heart of Spiti, which serves as the perfect base for visiting iconic high-altitude villages like Hikkim and Langza. The journey continues with a night in the historic village of Tabo, famous for its ancient, thousand-year-old monastery, before wrapping up with a magical night of stargazing in lakeside camps at the pristine Chandratal Lake (The Moon Lake). It is an ideal, fast-paced itinerary designed for travelers looking to experience the perfect blend of raw Himalayan landscapes, deep Buddhist heritage, and thrilling high-altitude camping.
Day Plan
Welcome at Chandigarh and proceed to Manali. On arrival check in the hotel. Evening is free to relax. Overnight at Manali. Note: The Lahaul and Spiti region in Himachal Pradesh is one of the remotest places with very few accommodation options. Suggested stay as per the itinerary is based on comfortable local hotels/homestays/Camps. Star category or renowned chain hotels will not be available. Note: Some of the places in this itinerary is situated at a high altitude which may pose challenges for guests with certain health conditions. Furthermore, for minor’s senior citizens and guests with pre-existing medical conditions we strongly recommend consulting with your doctor before planning your visit to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience.

Post breakfast, you will proceed towards Langza village. Visit Budhha Statue, Fossil Park which is an extraordinary site known for its rich collection of ancient fossils. The park has significance of marine fossils, such as fossilized shells, corals, and sea creatures that date back over 500 million years. Later visit Komic Village which is a highest village in the world connected with motor able road. Visit sHikkim village which has a post office situated at an elevation of 4,400 m (14,400 ft) and is one of the highest post offices in the world. Evening drive back to Kaza. Overnight at Kaza. After breakfast,proceed to Pin Vala, Visit Tabo monastery which was founded in 996 AD by the great teacher Richensang-po, Tabo is renowned for its breathtaking murals and stucco images – and is often called “The Ajanta of the Himalayas”. You can also take an optional hike from Dhankhar Village to Dhankhar Lake. It will take 2 hrs go & back. Visit Dhankhar Fort on the way. Late afternoon back to Pin Valley. Overnight at Tabo.

Post early morning breakfast, go out to explore the spectacular beauty of Kaza includes visit to: Visit Key Monastery: A must visit tourist place in Spiti Valley, the Key Gompa is encircled by picturesque mountains and soothing valleys. A wonderful example of monastic architecture and decorated with beautiful paintings, murals, manuscripts, and wind instruments. After proceed to Kibber Village which is a picturesque little village on the higher regions of Spiti Valley in Himachal Pradesh. Also known as Kyibar, Kibber is known for the Kibber Monastery and the Kibber Wildlife Sanctuary. This small, recluse village is made of only 80 houses with approximately 366 residents. Visit Chicham Bridge, the highest bridge in Asia. The bridge is at a staggering height of 13596 ft and connects the two villages named Chicham and Kibber. Look down this one and you will find yourself gaping below, at a 1000 ft deep gorge! Later visit Chandratal Lake. The beauty of this place is spectacular and you will have to leave behind the vehicle and then trek for two kilometers to reach the lake. The lake is situated in the Spiti part of the Lahaul and Spiti district and is also called the “Moon Lake” due to its crescent shape. It is overlooked by the mountains on one side and a cirque on the other. After the sunset, the lake glitters under the starlit sky adding to its overall charm. Enjoy dinner and overnight stay at the camps near Chandratal. Meals: Breakfast, Dinner
