The ceremony involves synchronized movements, conch shell blowing, mantra chanting, and rhythmic music, creating a spiritual spectacle that spectators can observe from the ghat steps or aboard boats. It's also the only Jyotirlinga in Uttar Pradesh. Later visit Banaras Hindu University (BHU) is a sprawling residential university located on the banks of the Ganges River. Bharat Mata Mandir, unique, one-of-a-kind monument dedicated to "Mother India" (Bharat Mata), inaugurated by Mahatma Gandhi in 1936. Unlike traditional temples, it features a large, detailed 3D relief map of undivided India, carved from marble, as its central exhibit. Also visit Sarnath, where Lord Buddha preached his first sermon at the deer park after his enlightenment. Sarnath is one of the four holy Buddhist sites sanctioned by the Buddha himself for pilgrimage. Return to hotel. Stay overnight in Varanasi.
